Residents Welfare Association, Sector 50, Chandigarh today organized a function to felicitate the Newly Elected Mayor Chandigarh Mr HC Kalyan in Community Centre, Sector 49, Chandigarh in which Pawan Kumar Bansal, Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest.

The function was also attended by various councilors of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh .

Prahlad Bhagat Vasudeva, General Secretary of the Association Welcomed the Chief Guest Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal and Mayor Sh. H.C.Kalyan and the Office bearers of all the societies to the function.

President of the Association Kamal Gupta, after welcoming the dignitaries thanked Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal for his contribution for getting the Policy of Transfer of Society Flats in the names of GPA holders liberalized. He also thanked the new mayor for having done a lot of work as a councillor and wished him a fruitful tenure as a mayor.

Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal appreciated the attempt of the Residents Welfare Association and assured his full cooperation and support to the Management of the Societies for the development of the city as a whole. He requested the Management of different societies who have been granted funds from MPLAD funds for different type of works to complete the formalities and get the works completed at the earliest so that funds do not get lapsed.
