Chandigarh, January 16: Chandigarh MP Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal has paid rich tributes to senior journalist Santosh Acharya who passed away on January 13. 

Former Mayor, Pardeep Chabra conveying the condolences to the family on behalf of Bansal, in a condolence meeting at Chandigarh Press Club said that Santosh Acharya was a very senior journalist and had contributed a lot in the field of journalism.

A former journalist and littérateur Santosh Acharya was paid rich tribute by the members of Chandigarh Press Club, of which he was a founder member. 

Having worked  for prominent newspapers in early 1970’s, he had later shifted to Chandigarh and had started his own newspaper, Shivalik Sandesh. His son Nalin Acharya now runs the newspaper.
