Bansal supports electricity workers demands

Pawan Kumar Bansal Member of Parliament while inaugurating the 27th General Conference of Electrical Workmen Union fully supported the demands of Electrical Workmen Union taken up in the conference. The conference was held on the occasion of birth anniversary of Jyoti Basu here in sector 25.

Mr Bansal categorically said that there is shortage of men and material in Electrical Circle. He said that Chandigarh Administration should take necessary steps to create new posts for Electrical Circle immediately to meet with the increased work load and for giving quality service to people of Chandigarh.

Union General Secretary Sh. Rakesh Kumar read out the union report of the last two years. Sh. Daya Ram Cashier, placed account statement of Electrical Workmen Union.

The demands of employees included centre pay scale to U.T. employees, creation of new posts regularization of contractual and daily wage employees, filling up vacant posts, Govt. houses to eligible candidates under self finance housing scheme 2008, and to stop privation of public sector.

Conference was also addressed by Sh.
