MP Bansal joins Nagar Kirtan, then Visits Dhanas rehab colony to redress grievances.

Chandigarh Member of Parliament, Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal joined the Nagar Kirtan at Sector 22 which was organised on the occasion of martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Mr Bansal was presented with a Saropa on the occasion by the members of Sikh community who organised the Nagar Kirtan. Former mayor Pardeep Chhabra was also present there.

The martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur is a very important day in the religious calendar of the Sikhs. According to the Sikh theology, Guru Tegh Bahadur is considered to be a master of spiritual sword. He was born on April 1, 1621 in Amritsar and was the youngest of five sons of the sixth Guru Har Gobind.

Mr Bansal later also visited Dhanas rehabilitation colony and heard the problems of the people there. He said the problems of the colony  would be looked into by the concerned authorities and that he would take them up with the senior officials as well.

Among those present there were city mayor Subhash Chawla, former mayor Pardeep Chhabra, Deputy Mayor Satish Kainth, Colony Cell CTCC president Shashi Shankar Tiwari, Sat Parkkash Aggarwal, Harphool, Kalyan, Poonam Sharma, Rajiv Moudgil, Prempal Chauhan, Ram Kumar Dhanas and Gurpreet Gapi among others.
